When an engineer or a buyer is looking for a supplier, they rarely start with the phone. They type a technical search into Google, for a process, a material or a batch size, and browse the websites. They ask colleagues. More and more, they also ask ChatGPT for a list of companies that can do the job.
Trade shows still matter: people meet there and form an opinion. But after the show, everyone goes home and comes back to your website, this time with their colleagues.
Because in B2B, people rarely decide alone. The engineer, the buyer and management each look at something different, and the decision takes weeks, often months. And if your customers are also in German-speaking Switzerland, they search in German.
